Read my reply again. I stated that the owners VIEW it in this manner. It doesn't necessarily mean it is true & doesn't really matter - perception is everything & the owners are the ones who make the final call - not us. You are correct that Kaep is polarizing & there are both people that support and oppose him.
You need to remove emotions from the equation & realize that this is just a risk that owners don't want to take & again some of them may actually kind of like him. You also can put some of the blame on Kaep and his significant other. He blew it w/ two teams where he actually had a shot -1. Ravens - they were ready to give him a shot but his girlfriend slandered the owner by calling him a character from Django Unchained (by all accts he is a decent person) & 2. Dolphins - Kaep pretty much sealed his fate with his pro-Castro shirt & stance after an earlier 49ers game - Miami is a hot bed for Cubans & lots of folks there would protest such a stance.
Don't want to get into the politics of the situation - I just question if Kaepernick really wants to play that badly at this time. I am guessing that if he would accept a true backup role and less $$ somebody might give him a shot. Oh well - I could be wrong & don't really care that much - bigger problems at this time.
I have no emotional ties to this issue, I just refuse to make a hypocrite of myself by being on the wrong side of facts and history. BTW: I agree that there are more immediate things to do in my life as well, let's move on. (good debate though
