The thousands of yards rushing says he isn’t a pocket passer.

The thousands of yards rushing ONLY says that he NOT one dimensional in an era where the known one dimensional dinosaurs are vanishing.

It also means teams worry about his running in college which can open up passing lanes. This happens much less in the NFL.

Because I said a man didn’t sound bright because I heard him speak?

Way to bring up race.

The 13 wonderlic backs up my statement.
So you are racist.

The kid played in a fairly advanced offense, a lot of his running was by design. I heard a guy talk about Josh Allen today and say he was a 56% passer in college, not too many people succeed in the NFL with that percentage. Jackson's best year was his last and he was at 59%. For him to succeed he will have to improve that, same as Josh Allen. He is a slightly built guy like Griffin so using his legs in the NFL will help but whether it is Griffin or Wentz he needs to know when to get down. I wouldn't write him off.

Have you heard him speak?

Being bright does matter because you have to be able to understand offensive and defensive concepts. You have to be able to convey your thoughts to your teammates who have to understand what you are saying.

Yes.

Right. Football smart. How you talk doesnt seem very relevant to that and Jackson seems to be pretty football smart.

This exactly. Im not a huge Lamar fan even though it may seem like it. I think hes a very high upside prospect and a way better prospect than people on this site give him credit for. He ran a complex offense is actually pretty pro style and made very good decisions in it. The accuracy is the biggest knock on him, and its a pretty fair one since I think accuracy is a pretty big deal for a QB. Still better than Allens accuracy though. The Allen love I cant wrap my head around.

Oh, I think he has an incredible upside. I just doubt he ever reaches it.

Serious questions...

Who claims it is a complex offense?

Didn’t he have some turnover issues?

Who called the plays, him or the sideline?

Really?? So, tell me why is the RPO the hot new (actually old) thing in the NFL game? There's a huge difference between a running QB and one that's able to run. They will be concerned just as much in the NFL about his ability to run because of this. Football is a Spartan sport, you don't have to be anything other than, to coin a term, "football smart" in order to play the game. He's that.

Why would you believe I am racist over a comment that had zero to do with race?

Are you hoping to instigate hatred against me because I am white?
Associating ignorance with a person's skin color is a racist statement.

Research the offense, Petrino is running a lot of pro-style stuff.

No QB anywhere calls their own plays anymore.

I am sure you have watched plenty of college football where everyone goes to the line, they wait for the defense to show itself then the coach signals in a play. I don't know how much responsibility he had to change the play but I don't think many college QBs get to audible a lot. Every college QB has to learn to play in the NFL. One of the things that is most essential to playing on that level is the ability to process information and make a proper decision in just a couple of seconds. The next biggest thing is accuracy. I am sure you had to do that a bunch gk, Make a decision and be accurate on landing.

GnG he has told you several times he was not making a racist comment. It seems to me at this point you are trying to start a fight.

When did I associate intelligence with his color? You did that.

I associated his speaking with sounding less intelligent.

His speaking has nothing to do with his race...unless you are saying black people speak a different way.
