Done deal. Keeping Schwartz, which is good and taking Roman from SF to run the offense. Not a big fan of Roman, but I guess he was under Harbaugh so there's that.

Congrats. Your D should easily be top 3 at all times. Good enough to carry that O if a game manager can be found at QB.

Ryan has the best resume as a Head Coach of anyone the Bills have hired since Marv Levy. The signing at least indicates they grasp how important the HC position is in that they paid the guy. That alone is a step in the right direction.

And it's a five year deal, which is new too. Looks like stability is finally a factor.

I think that Ryan could bring in Sanchez to run this offense effectively, this past year showed that we don't need an elite quarterback to bring us to the playoffs. We just need a capable one

Really of all the moves good and bad this team did over the last year this is the worst and you are ok with it

The worst move was trading away the 2015 first round pick. Not a fan of that one.

I'm willing to give Rex a few years (and a total pass on 2015) before deeming this the "worst" move a team like the Bills (plenty to choose from) has made.

Let's see...with the Jets he didn't have the best talent but made the most of it, even getting to two AFC Championships with Mark Sanchez, he worked under a terrible GM that derailed the team, and never really had a franchise QB to work with. Sound familiar? Everything but the AFC championships.

I would say a first for JP Losman and a first for Broken Bledsoe were worst trades then getting Watkins. Rex made it to the playoffs with Manginis team which he had a winning season 2 out of 3 years before being replaced by Rex. He may have had worst talent in NY but he did nothing to develop the talent he had especially on the offensive side ( remember that is where we need the help) plus we are changing defensive systems again. If we wanted a defensive coach we should have hired Shwartz he had a better showing as a Head coach the players like him he continues the same system we had last year and brings some stability

Sorry, I thought you meant just this past year when comparing the Bills worst moves. The Losman trade no doubt is in the conversation since nobody else would have taken that clown anyways so trading up was absurd. Bledsoe was broken, but I think they at least were trying to get a QB there...you just don't use two first round picks to essentially land a WR (when you have no QB!).

I'm not sure the "those were Magini's players" argument works here. If this were college, for sure, but it's the NFL.

Jeez, the one time I am not a negative nancy on here and everyone goes nuts. I can't win!

No you are entitled to your opinion I just fail to see how this improves our team. If anything we will be taking a step back.

Unless we get a QB I'm not sure it matters that much who the coach is. Probably makes a 1-2 game difference at the top end, but not enough to sniff the playoffs.

The idea is supposedly Roman's system could work well with Manuel's skill set. I don't know about that, but I will wait and see. It's not like Kaepernick continued to progress with Roman either after earning the starting job.

Yeah, Crapernick started off with a bang and basically regressed from there. Not sure how much that has to do with Roman. Can Manuel run? He was supposed to be a somewhat mobile QB when drafted, but he never seem to have impressive speed like Crapernick, who blazes once he's in full sprint mode.
