I was into the idea of verner coming here but he's not better than Revis.

So the argument now is over Talib vs Revis?

Remember when Revis threw a shit fit over Richard Sherman's opinion that he wasn't a top 5/10 CB in a year he didn't play a whole season?

Looking back on that Revis looks like a whining bitch and Richard Sherman is the best CB in the game.

He still hasn't proved he is healthy. It is a gamble and he isn't the best corner like some are saying. He has to play a full season before even in the consideration yet.

His stats say he started all 16 games, but his stats or even tackles look like he rarely played.

Did anyone actually say he was the best I could have missed that. And his stats aren't what they were because Tamp played a zone defense Revis is or was best suited for man coverage.

Total Marlins move

It's really a shame you don't get it. Not sure if you are slow or obtuse. Point is we got nothing for Talib and most would rather have signed him to a long term deal. It's typical for the Pats to try and scrape a team together rather than retain quality pieced that are working. Does that help you any?

No there is not argument and no I don't remember Revis throwing a shit fit. But we all do know Sherman is a loud mouth.

Revis is better than Talib for two reasons:

1. he is playing for a big contract
2. he is on the field more

thats above the other intangibles. He is a mercenary though. Bill however can not worry now about giving a longer term contract. I hope he does that.

Maybe now Steve Smith is begging to come to Pats and stick it to Talib in a Pats uniform. funny stuff

Let's not start the bullshit about who's better.. Everyone threw at Talib and he had many more opportunities to play defense. Almost no one throws Reis' way in man coverage because it's 90-10 that he knock down the pass or intercept it. Same for Sherman in man coverage. He's big, strong, fast and can jump like a gazelle. Throw away from guys like that.

With all of the bitching from Denver about their WRs getting roughed up in the Superbowl, Commissioner Pussyfoot is having the Competition Committee look at ways to reduce receiver interuption. Funny isn't it, when the Patriots pushed Manning's WRs around in Indianapolis Polian and Irsay screamed and the league made changes so that Manning could run up the stats. Now Manning's in Denver and they get roughed up and it starts all over again.

So rather than start a Revis v Talib thread you want to continue the Manning v Brady thread? I mean your commenting on Manning in regard to his weapons is bound to draw the ire of many. Why can't we all just agree all the aforementioned players at their positions are damn good and be done with it.

The motivation meh; Revis always plays motivated (equally positive really, though).

Health is true. I like a healthy Talib better (just a little more versatile IMO), but Revis is pretty likely to stay on the field more.

Actually since 2010 both players have played in 56 games. Revis has been thrown at 223 times in that span of time. Talib has been thrown at 265 times. So for those lacking in math skills that is less than one more pass attempt per game coming Talib's way compared to that of Revis. Throw in a chunk of that time for Revis was on a top 10 defense where Talib that has not been the case.

Also would love your evidence that Bronco receivers Bitched and moaned after the Super Bowl to cause the NFL to think about changing rules. I'll wait for it.

Have to agree. Verner for the money might have been the best deal of the 3 but he is 3rd on the list of Corners here. I think Verner has his strengths but he also has some limitations as well.

Verner IS very very good.
Shorter and lacks the top end speed.
Would have loveed to have him to play with Dennard and Revis.

I would have loved him on the Broncos too just don't think he is better than Revis or Talib at this point. Like I said money wise compared to talent Verner was the best deal of the 3. Just pure talent is another question though.

Mehhh I like I just like the size and aggressive play of Aqib

Talib
Revis
Verner

Steve Smith twisted Talib inside out last year. I don't recall anybody ever doing that to Revis, in that manner.

Randy Moss may have burned him deep once or twice, but Randy burned everybody deep.
