Bears will probably use the franchise tag.

That would normally be my guess; however, with the reduced cap, you guys are already .5 million over the cap.

Robinson on the tag puts you over by 17 million. You would still need to sign rookies and you don’t have a QB, unless we count Nick Foles as he starter.

The Bears as of this day are $6,066,400 over the cap. Their effective cap deficit stands at $8,706,400 over the cap. Franchising Robinson adds another 16-18 million to that deficit. As I understand their situation, they can fairly easily clear up space to make this work for them but what they cannot afford to do with Robinson is making him a free agent. They will lose him for certain if they do that. Tough decisions for Da Berrs!!

Allen Robinson Contract Demands Reportedly Way Higher Than Expected

The Chicago Bears have tried to lock up Allen Robinson long-term for months. Are they just being cheap? Not according to new details.

They can keep him because he isn’t worth 25, or even 20 with a reduced cap.
I've gotta ask, would he be worthy of a raise ordinarily?

Doesn't matter, he won't get any where close to 25m per. Take that a step further and think that his group is looking for Cooper money. I say good luck as we can find a talented #2 for considerably less.

No thank you!

Dude got famous for one spectacular catch and has either under-produced or gotten injured ever since.

Those numbers look amazing though?
He would absolutely kill in this offense, he was a good soldier in Cleveland, didn't complain. You get an elite young talent for the WR AVG. Takes pressure off Gibson and Scary Terry, besides this is a good locker room...and Cleveland doesn't need him....Sty....im pleading my case for that extra 3rd we got

OK, I'll relent, we do have an extra 3rd so if he'll help go get him.

My thoughts too, but the man pled his case for ODJ, he won me over with that extra 3rd that they have.
