He’s still under contract though, so they’re gonna pay him to sit at home.

Fuck that guy. His contract should be terminated.

I didn't see a thread for HBO's Barry so I'll put this here. Maybe nobody else here is watching it. I really got into it last season and was looking forward to seeing where they were going to take it this year.

But I've been disappointed with the 2nd season and last night was just terrible. I almost turned it off. I'm going to give it another week to see if there are any signs of it redeeming itself before I bail.

I enjoyed this weeks episode. All episodes are better if they have Hank in them though.

I do agree with your last part about Hank. But about the episode... it seemed to me like the writers basically took the week off.

First there was the very long fight scene with tae kwon do guy he tried to make a deal with rather than kill. Then another very long fight scene with his little girl, who's apparently tae kwon do proficient as well. Then a 2nd fight with the original guy who apparently wasn't dead yet.

None of it advanced any plot points and seemed to be just filler. I'm going to stick with it, but I'm not sure even they know where they're going with it next.

It was for sure a filler episode, I was just amused by the long drawn out fight. It makes sense for Barry to not kill him, he has been trying to be different from the start. I thought it led to an amusing conclusion to the police officer that was closing in on him. The build up to the fight starting was also hilarious to me. He sees all the trophies and can't see what is coming. I was amused by the entire thing.

They did tie things up at the end around the outcome for cop that was onto him and I liked the overall premise. I just found all of the extended fighting tiresome. Maybe it's me. I'd just finished watching GoT (it's my wife's thing, not mine) and almost the entire episode was frenetic battle scenes.

I am on episode 2 of the 2nd season right now, but I am glad some people here are still onboard with the show. That post above made me a little worried.

Once I finish up with Santa Clarita, I will binge Barry again

Blackish is a pretty decent show, except for when they went for the "breakup/drama" angle. I'll never understand why comedies go that route. That, and the "We're gonna be cancelled, so let's add a baby!" deal.

Lol, maybe I understand the 2nd strategy. One or two more years of gravy. ;)

Gotta remember to watch season 1 during that one sole week.

Kinda weird to make that the lone exception
Yeah, don't understand that part really. But it's an easy watch and those 5 hours pass by pretty quickly.

Anytime a show adds a baby, I bounce.
