My all-time fave White Sox player.

What a great tribute they paid him at the Cell Saturday afternoon as the lines to get into the park were already formed up & long when we arrived at around noon ... lines as far as you could see.

What a class act and helluva baseball player. Thank you #14 for all of the great memories and there were many. Probably my favorite was his granny in Game 2 of WS in '05.

Here's the tribute WGN put together for him - nice job ... for WGN anyway. Wish the damn Sox coulda won the damn game yesterday!

I was watching that on Saturday and I seriously did not want the ceremony to end. Felt like I was about to start tearing up, I'm slightly embarrassed to say. Easily my favorite White Sox player of my lifetime. Only other guy that could come close is The Big Hurt.

My favorite moment is the World Series Game 2 grand slam. Sorry, it's cliche, but I'd be lying if I said otherwise. Him getting hit in the face, staying in the game and hitting a home run his next AB is probably second. Him giving the ball to Reinsdorf is right there as well.

The guy was just all class man. Says he wants to work with rookie ball hitters one day, would love to have him in the organization in any capacity!
