Anybody QB who is taken #2 overall is pretty much infallible in fan's opinions a handful of seasons. That's just the way fans behave.

Not just #2, but giving up that much.

Like a certain RB that was drafted in lieu of an entire draft :)

Seems a bit early to me to say "I told you so". He's beginning his third year after a very good rookie season in which he got hurt in the playoffs followed by a year in which he, along with the rest of his team, struggled.

I agree it's too early to say he's a bust. I will give him the first half of this year.

It is not too early to call out all of the Skins fans that said I was crazy for saying how much better Andrew Luck was than RGIII.

Two years ago, congrats? Dallas was playing for the East championship in the final week last year, but without our starter.

As for the way Snyder has changed, what was the stat I heard the other day...in the last 6 years the Skins have been in last place 5 of the 6. There is certainly a fluke in those 6 years, but the conference champ ain't it. :boink:

Great - if you are lucky the Cowboys will be playing for (and losing) the NFC-E title for the next 3-4 years. Laughable that you use Romo as an excuse since we all know how great he plays in big games such as that one.

I have no argument with your facts about the record under Snyder. He created a mess & along with the cap sanctions it takes a while to undo all of that. I am just maintaining that (unlike Jones) he doesn't make the personnel decisions at this time & that should pay dividends in the next several years.

Not at all & there are several Redskins fans who are anti-RG3. What you fail to mention is that RG3 had a tremendous rookie season. Granted - he had a terrible year last season. So - this season is kind of the tiebreaker. If he plays terrible I will be open to whatever happens (including benching him).

If he had two terrible seasons I would be all over him now - it doesn't really have much to do with where he was selected in the draft - that is more of any issue for the organization and not the fans. Not sure why that is so difficult to comprehend.

Your assumption is that the guys he hired to make those decisions will fare any better......of that I am NOT convinced.

Granted, they have a better chance than Jerry Jones of making solid decisions.

Again - that is an issue for the organization and not the fans.I don't give him a pass or have hope for him because of what they traded to get him. Rather - I have hope because of what I saw in his rookie season. Last year obviously raised some doubts, but there were some unique circumstances.

Will he do well this season? Who knows, but I am not ready to throw in the towel based on a few preseason games & I certainly won't give up hope based mainly on the opinions of people who hate the guy and the team.

I am 100% sure that the guys he hired will do a better job. Does that mean that they will do a good job or better than most other personnel guys? Absolutely not. I am just stating that it is a better situation then leaving the control to Snyder.

I honestly think Griffin's biggest issue is coaching.

He responds to coaches he likes, like Art Briles. You give him quality coaching and leadership, and you'll get the best out of him. We'll see if the new regime gets that and adjusts accordingly.

According to reports, Jerry isn't making the personnel decisions here either. That's what the latest news has been all about. :noidea:

I believe Cousins is a better pure pocket passer then RG3 but the Redskins cant give up on RG3 yet. I just dont see RG3 staying healthy and getting any better at reading defenses. RG3 is still limping and I just dont see how. Time will tell I guess. Just saying.

It would be interesting now that the picks have all been made, to list the exact players the Rams took with all the picks the got from the Skins. H Walker trade 2.0

Well - if true that is a step in the right direction. Perhaps ultimately he will hire an actual GM & step away. I hope not.

You think he controlled Briles? Not sure I see that. I don't think he respects or trusts any of the coaches he's had since college.

controls might be the wrong word, but I'm sure he definitely called the shots around there. He was BMOC, came into the league on fire, but now is with other professionals who were also the BMOC where they came from.

ah gotcha. That makes more sense, wondered why you would be upset about getting two entire drafts for one pick :)
