That hit by Bradley on Wiercioch was considered a fucking boarding call!? Are you fucking kidding me. They didn't even pass the fucking red line yet... These calls are truly becoming a joke, not that they weren't getting there before. That hit then led to Smith coming in and fighting Bradley, and Bradley getting his face opened up... Truly pathetic officiating in the NHL.

To be fair, Brads bleeds when someone looks at him funny, so that gash was likely to happen whether or not he was in a fight.

I do agree, though. Just because it is a big hit doesn't mean they have to go looking for a penalty to call. I don't even want to talk about the fighting in that situation...

It's just fucking ridiculous... I just saw the highlight on NHL Network, it seriously pissed me off. Boarding... Pfft. I guess any hit resulting in the player touching the boards is going to be boarding from this point on.

The Komisarek hit in the AV's game the other night was more of a penalty then that, I don't have a link but it was in the first period. A def head shot and nothin!

No way should that have been a boarding penalty. That's almost as bad as the called on Chara in the last Sabres game. When Chara hit the guy, they were STILL in the faceoff circle!!! Millbury is right, the league is becoming pussified.

I gave my opinion on this in the GNT I believe, but a similar (although I suppose much more boardline) call happened in the Pens game last night. Engo got 2 minutes for hitting a guy. I'm all for preventing headshots and cheapshots, but you can't just whistle everything now, then you start to change the game.

Was it a clean check? Yes. Did the check cause Wiercioch to be thrown violently into the boards? Yes. BOARDING.
