We are aligned as usual...lol

I thought of mahomes actually..lol

If we had a crystal ball, that would make all the difference.

I am guessing Chicago tries to take peters for a ride, but that is my opinion.
The sweat pick...#36, is the starting point.
In all honesty, Chicago knows williams doesn't want to play there, and they know they will literally get the player they still want at #2 plus the 36th pick.

It's a win win to be honest. I don't care what the value chart says, it's fair to me.

Peters can even be honest and say "look, williams doesn't want to go to Chicago and we all know that". "Take the 36th and get your player you want who wants to play in Chicago at #2"
The conversation starts with 2025 #1.

You can’t pass on a game changing qb for chump change if I am the bears . No matter what Williams tells them .

Good point.

If williams flat out tells them he doesn't want to playnin Chicago, what happens?

Do they call his bluff?

Do we want a qb who is like that either?

Is williams the next can't miss qb and is he a generational talent?

In all honesty, is he head and shoulders above daniels and maye?

Personally, i don't think he is. Better...yes? But not that much better.

Then my question would be based on your questions you are asking the why would we move up ? Simply keep the resources and draft Daniel’s

I'm torn on whether to trade for Caleb, if the alternative is Maye. If I knew for a fact that Jayden is their guy, I'm cool with staying put. No knock on Maye, I just like Jayden and Caleb much more.

I think you have to ask if you can coach inconsistency out of maye

Sometimes the best move... is not to play the game! Sit tight, the issue is in Chicago's court, don't call them and don't allow your interest or disinterest known. Chicago has to decide on Fields and/or What to do with that first pick. We know that they aren't going to move too far down in the draft so give them the time and space to look at their options and if they are happy with those...great, we still have the #2 pick. Now if they are unwilling to trade down beyond #2 then let them call our guys! That move alone puts Washington in the driver's seat.

A few things to consider

Peters might think williams is a can't miss prospect a sure fire HOF qb.

The bears might have some wiggle room and the price might be right to a deal.

If those 2 things are true, we should move up.
I don't know if they are true at all.

I agree and it's the smart move.

My question is if williams wants to play there and if he raises stink about it?
The Kingsbury hire gave this legs, but at the end of the day its still on Chicago's front office. Caleb would have to go public.
