WR corps for the Eagles certainly hasn't impressed this year so far IMO...

So the league leader in sacks, coming off a 4 sack game, is going up against a third string RT?

Advantage Eagles?

While I am not sure about the advantage thing I would not discount it. Kerrigan may lead the NFL in sacks but after two games I would not put much stock in the fact that he is leading the league. He got 4 sacks against one of the worst teams in the NFL. He got zero in week 1.

I probably would go advantage Skins because of the fact it is the third string RT. To be honest I would give the advantage to any defense in the NFL on the side that has a third string offensive lineman playing.

I am not quite sure what to make of this game yet. To be honest I was confident of an Eagles win with RGIII at the helm. With Cousins as the QB there is some doubt. I have always thought he was a better QB.

If it was ONLY that match up... But it isn't. This is gonna be a HUGE challenge for the Skins D. Same thing for the Eagles D.

It's a division match. Any Given Sunday remains even more true with this game. I think the Skins and Eagles will split games this year myself... Both teams have weapons and they know each other. This game will be no cakewalk as some against the Skins have been in the past.

How the Ds play, Pass Rush, TOs, Running Game, STs, TOP and some luck will all play key roles in the outcome. I like the Skins chances this Sunday.

So I know I am the only one complaining about the ten sacks.. imo glorified tackles when taking the jags oline into account.. but serious.. not one strip? not one?

Id equate a strip/recover to the value of 3 sacks at least.. more if you score points/strip in your teams redzone to prevent a score

Fun article from Hog Hunter

Excerpt

There's a lot of big time question marks going in to this game for the Redskins. I put the Redskins at 7-9 for the year during the preseason, with this game marked down as a loss. Now our starting QB is out, and one of our top WRs is either out or playing with a sore shoulder.

Also the defensive line depth is extremely thin right now. Last week the Skins had 5 defensive linemen active, and thankfully they were playing the Jaguars and were able to completely dominate them. Kedric Goltson didn't practice again today after injuring his groin vs the Texans, and might not play again. The line has held up, and Chris Baker had a very good game at NT in place of Barry Cofield.

I think Cousins is capable of winning some games and will definitely be able to operate the Gruden offense. He was excited when Gruden came here, and he ran his offense efficiently against the Jaguars. He got the ball out quickly and didn't make many mistakes which is what Gruden wants. Alfred Morris is going to have to have a good game and help keep the Eagles offense off the field.

The biggest thing will be the defense stopping the Eagles in the 2nd half. Gruden did a good job of not letting up on the Jaguars last week. He went for it on 4th down when they were up 34-10 in the 4th Quarter and scored a TD with an undrafted rookie RB. That's what needs to happen against the Eagles. The Colts really dropped the ball with their playcalling when they had the lead, and the Luck interception was a killer.

BLG) It's weird how the First Half Eagles and Second Half Eagles seem like completely two different teams. The FHE have committed 4 turnovers and scored 6 points. The SHE have committed 0 turnovers and scored 58 points. To answer your question, I have no idea when this team will put it together, or if they even will. But I will say that if they do... look out. This a team that's currently leading the NFL in yards gained and points scored despite many things working against them. Philadelphia is missing two starters on the offensive line and a top backup, Nick Foles is going through some struggles, LeSean McCoy is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry, and the wide receiving corps is dropping everything thrown their way. That's simultaneously concerning and impressive.

As far as halftime adjustments go, I'm not sure if I can point to anything specific. Chip Kelly himself has said that he hasn't been changing anything. I think it's less about adjustment and more about execution.
