Impressive. Stopping Sproules is going to be huge.

Eagles run the screen very well. Seems like they have run the screen well since Wilbert Montgomery. With Fletch and Doughty gone our team speed has improved but it's still a concern.

I wouldn't say they only had the 2 backs and the TE as weapons. They seem to always have receivers open all over the field

I'm thinking as long as we show a strong Pass Rush to stymie Foles (and that Oline on the right side should present that opportunity), the screen game and the running game is what can gash us the most. Outside of Ertz as a playmaker TE, I haven't been very impressed with their WR corps so far this year.

Unlike Dean I wish injuries on no one but in watching the game last night if Kendricks can't go for them on Sunday that's huge because from what I saw out of Mathews filling in for him Morris should have about a buck fifty on Sunday.

This week on defense is all about McCoy & Sproles. The offense runs through them. Make Foles beat you passing to the WR's & TE. Formation recognition will be huge for the defense this week. Pressure on Foles will be huge this week.

Agree, if Kendrick's is out, that'll be a bonus for our running game.

I know the rookie is suspended but why were they down to their third RT?

Here's the answer for ya DGF...

The Eagles had to shuffle the offensive line this week following a couple of injuries on the line in the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Right tackle Lane Johnson continues to serve his suspension for another three games, including Monday night, but the Eagles also lost reserve lineman Allen Barbre (broken leg). Starting left guard Evan Mathis (knee) is out of action until at least Week 10. The concerns on the line will continue this week with Matt Tobin having to sit out of practices this week due to an ankle injury.

Wow. What impressed me so much in the opener was the amount of time Foles had, I was jealous. But damn that's a lo to overcome. But then again they run a short passing game with a lot of 3 step drops.

That's why I feel a Strong Pass Rush is gonna be key. Foles does not do well at all with pressure...course what QB does...And obviously, we can't allow Shady and/or Sproles to run amok either...and that's gonna be a HUGE challenge. Those two have made us look like fools in the past...:L

Whatever your feelings about Chip Kelly, the guy is incredibly innovative...

Very interesting article.

Excerpt

Ericsson's answer is tied to another Kelly secret. The Eagles use memory devices to get players to memorize formations. Safety Malcolm Jenkins said that during meetings, coaches will show an opponent's formation on a screen, and players will attempt to remember it and yell the play call they would use against it. Then, Jenkins said, snapping his fingers, "They start to flash it quicker and quicker. There's less time to process. And so you build those same cognitive skills where it's the same as getting a mental rep on the field."

So the league leader in sacks, coming off a 4 sack game, is going up against a third string RT?

Advantage Eagles?

Skins won't get any respect ( not that they've earned it yet) until they beat a team like Philly on the road.
It's gonna take another great effort by the D in this one
