The WR class is deep and talented BUT the early 2nd round or 3rd round WR is way more talented than the 4th or 5th round WR. There wouldn't be equal value if we waited on WR until the 4th or 5th round. 10 WR's are predicted to go in the first two rounds. That is unheard of.

I agree Dean. Looks like alot of (on any other draft year) 1st rounders to be had in the 2nd and alot of 2nd rounders to be had in the 3rd. Most of the guys I have seen behind that...frankly I have never heard of (doesn't mean they won't be good)...

Re-sign D.Hall/Orakpo
Brandon Spikes
Paul Soliai

What are the odds we can land all of these names?

I like all options except Hester.

According to the article,Why wouldn't we use Eldeman much as a receiver?

We need a big fast out side guy that can go up and get the ball first. I'm hoping we get one with our first draft pick. Edelman would be great in the slot, but I don't think we can afford him. There are not many good WRs in FA so the good ones will draw a premium.

the projected cap space we have is on the low end 28 mil (tandler ) to 33 mil (overthecap.com) and we havent done one cut or restructure . we have the cash if we want it

the better argument is this is a heavy wr draft and we could get a cheaper guy who can do the same job . that could also affect FA WR prices .

also , would edelman leave a superbowl contending team for a perennial bottom feeder ?

by wide receiver dont you mean kick returner

I know right. Not a lot of true WR options on that link. I do like Maclin. I think he could still have a very bright future at that position.

I like MCluster too as a situational back and one of the best KRs in the league right now.
With his stature, I am not sure he will ever really be a consistent slot WR option. But he could be useful returning kicks, catching a few passes, coming around out of the slot being the pitch guy on a read option. His skillet is certainly much better than Brandon Banks' was .

i wanted maclin until he torn his knee up. now his health concerns me.

the guy got his ACL early so that helps

but he is a guy you take a flier on (for a short contract of low pay or both ) and see if you get a steal

this draft is deep at WR so who knows ?

some of those will be franchised but its a good list

mack and ward cuase cleveland to make choices

decker and beadles do the same with denver

collins could make spikes expendable with pats

No thanks to both!

Most of you don't want to believe this but....we will have the worst WR corps. going into the 2014 offseason. We have Garcon, Hankerson, Robinson and Williams. 3 of the 4 probably won't make another NFL roster. We need a minimum of 2 WRs, a starter opposite Garcon and a slot WR. Baldwin and Tate are better than anything we have outside of Garcon.
