You are correct sir...however signing Vick as Robert's backup (pending a Cousins trade) would not be a bad idea. And I can see the Skins signing both Nicks and Maclin (if the price is right).

I've been reading these guys go back and forth since their days on the ESPN message boards...my time here at SportsHoopla has many been spent with my Hokies but I now feel the need to throw my hat into this arena. I won't comment much but I think Skinsdad and Shark need a to burry the hatchet about Robert and Shanny and focus on bringing Ireland in as the new assistant GM.

FA targets on DEF will be a lot easier to assume once we know what system our new coach will run.

Not sure if Jared Allen makes sense at his age.

I cant help but wonder if some former Cincinatti players could be targeted now. Anthony Collins, Andrew Hawkins, and Mike Pollak come to mind.

Seems to me there has already been a significant signing that some are overlooking. His name is David Gettis, 6'3" 220, speedster, who catches anything close to him. His issues were he's had knee injuries. If he has recovered and allowed to compete he might be this teams answer to A.J. Green.

I like those dad, but contrary to the consternation of others on this site I would add Taylor Mays who would add size, speed and depth to our secondary. (6'3" 226, 4.32)

mays has had issues with coverage but if you put him in spots where he can play to his strengths then you have a player .

do you remember the old "monster role ? where you had the hybrid safety /linebacker ?

wouldnt that be an answer to these spread out offense with the up tempo ?

Talib, Saffold, and Mack should be our top 3 FA Targets.

I do remember the ole' monster or rover role. It is a fact that coming out of school there was talk of converting him to LB. He was compared favorably to Adrian Wilson and ....ready for this?.....Sean Taylor!!

Saffold would not be franchised. Talib and Mack maybe.

Stymietee - I agree on Mays, he his the size and speed but would he hinder the growth of the guys we drafted last year.

Swap Talbi and Shields and I agree with you. Add Jeremy Maclin in there and we have a great Free Agent class.

I don't understand why there is no love for Talib. He is a shutdown #1 Cb who is carrying the Pats defense. Plus he has ties to Bruce Allen when he was at Tampa. I think its a no brainer if the money is right.
