I don't understand why there is no love for Talib. He is a shutdown #1 Cb who is carrying the Pats defense. Plus he has ties to Bruce Allen when he was at Tampa. I think its a no brainer if the money is right.

i am thinking he cost too much and again i doubt he leaves the pats

And he is in it for the money first. We want guys that can produce and whose first priorities are to win, not be the highest paid.

His off the field issues are well documented and I believe his next infraction will carry severe punishment. Bottom line is that he wants too much money and has a history of problems.

Seems to me there has already been a significant signing that some are overlooking. His name is David Gettis, 6'3" 220, speedster, who catches anything close to him. His issues were he's had knee injuries. If he has recovered and allowed to compete he might be this teams answer to A.J. Green.

I'm not overlooking. I liked his ability, when he played with the Panthers. In fact, when I heard he was signed to a futures contract, I was ecstatic. He has the size, speed, and playmaking ability. Also, he played with RGIII at Baylor. Baylor WRs are getting it done in the NFL. Josh Gordon, Kendall Wright, and Terrance Williams. To me, Gordon and Gettis have the same skill-set. I believe this pickup could be a real steal.

lets hope the acl injury didnt rob him of his speed . but again , to me , it was a very good pick up for the cost

Beadles would be nice but Decker, no thanks. I want explosive opposite Garcon, not a possession guy like Decker. Yes, he put up good numbers this year with Manning however, you don't pay a #2 WR the money Decker will command. My guess is he will take less to stay in Denver and play with Manning.

Do you think we go WR at pick #34 or address the defense first. My guess is we treat FA like the draft and pick up 2 starters on defense. So in essence, pick #1 is defense, pick #2 is defense via FA and pick #3 (draft #34) is WR. Thoughts?

I am not on the Decker bandwagon. I'm not taking anything from him. He has to get open and make the catches, but I still see him as a #2 possession WR. Plus, he might want too much money. We're paying Garcon a pretty penny. Too much money to put into a position, which is not an overwhelming need, as much as defense. This upcoming draft is full of WRs. One can be had. Not to mention, he doesn't have to be the guy. We already have one.

Im not a fan of signing Decker. If we put a lot more money into WR, I want a real #1 to who can make plays downfiled and go up and get the ball. Theres nobody like that in this FA class though.

Does anybody know how much cap space were going to have before resigning anybody?

Last number I saw was north of $32m with no other personnel moves. That could increase with a few key cuts.

we could have a decent shot at decker or beadles but both may resign with a winning team

IF we don't sign a FA WR then WR is a no brainer with our 2nd or 3rd round pick. I would rather give the money to Talib than Decker. We can find a WR in the draft.

with the depth at WR in this draft we could pick one up in the mid to later rounds

i dont lock into a position in the draft . i target needs and if value is there then i make the selection

our needs are at wr TE nt c og ot de ilb cb and safety . i want the BPA at anyone of those needs

if we dont have value there then i simply pick the BPA on our board regardless of position

so if the top five wrs are gone by our pick and a tuitt or skov is there i have no issue grabbing them

Guys.......Read this it will help you to envision the type guy Gruden will be looking to acquire/draft. How Jay Gruden shaped his roster.

Lich to Center?? That could work. D'Hall to safety? That could work too.

I am by no means on the Decker bandwagon, but I think he would be a great addition, if he was to be gotten at a reasonable price. While he doesn't have elite speed/skills and can't stretch the field like some others, he is a pretty dependable WR who has some size and ability. He would be an instant upgrade and a #2 IMO. Thats the problem though, someone will likely pay him like a #1.

Decker is going to be in high demand as there aren't a lot of premium WRs in FA this year. I think we will have to look to the draft to find our #2.
