His average run of postseason play since 2006 coupled with 2 SB losses removed him from any all time best discussions. I mean the Very Best, still in a Top 5-10 discussion

You dont keep losing every January and move "up" the ladder

I'm not going on all day about it, that's just a fact

Just as long as you keep him ahead of Peyton Manning on your list, we have no problems here.

Snoogins are you just mad that when you come back after an absence people are upset to see you and don't reach out?

People like me.

i started saying this after the last SB loss

said it a lot

hes top 5 right now IMO, if he wins another, in the debate for best all time

my feelings on this are far from new

I admitted along with JD that Roethlisberger threw away the 2012 season. Not saying they could have won it all but if you get in, you never know, like the 2005 team.

Why is this so hard for other people?

"his average run of postseason play since 2006"

Good thing he started his career in 2001...

"every january" = exactly 1 more time than Joe Montana...

Since 2006? He's made what, 4 conference championships? Number of Qb's that can say the same? 0

I hate this...if you lose in the 1st round? No biggie...lose in the superbowl? And it means you suck.

That's about the dumbest, most back-asswards logic I can think of...almost as dumb as ignoring the 1st half of his career in a conversation specifically comparing career impact...

I'm totally cool with that

Since 2006, Brady was anywhere between "ok" and brutally awful in the following postseason games

Ravens 3 times
Jets
Chargers
Giants twice

Not dismissing he had son great ones in that stretch, granted, but that's also a nice sampling of "ugggh"

If Brady wins #4?

And before you compare Montana's 4-0 to Brady 4-2, let me offer that you'd essentially be rewarding Montana for losing in the playoffs (before the superbowl) more often than Brady...

Where I come from? Getting further is better...

But I agree...right now it's Montana #1...

I think that's a bridge I won't have to cross, Down. Really don't see the Patriots winning another with Brady.

Not trying to instigate a riot here, just my opinion. The league seems to be getting younger...

Nothing mroe laughable than the idiot crowd dry humping themselves over brady's "horrible post season record" and then in the next breath claiming Peyton is the greatest QB of this generation...

I can accept that, Dirt. But I think the Tyree play and the 2 huge Welker drops have to be kept in the back of your mind. Maybe those were just the offset to all the luck the Pats had in 2001.

It's Dirt, what do you expect?

Brady loses a last second Super Bowl on a drop by Welker and a defense that cant' salt away a victory. He goes down the ladder. passed by a list of QBs who in the place of said Super Bowl loss, instead had 9-7, or 8-8 seasons and didn't even make the post-season..

Eli Manning goes out and misses the fucking playoffs... his spot is secure...

Wanna have fun with Dirt?

Ask him who these layups are that are above Brady...

then start asking him about some of their post-season failures..

Watch how quickly he refuses to answer them.
