This is a pretty solid price for what is considered to be one of the best games of the last console generation.
I think I have played it 4 times in total. Maybe 5, I'm not sure. This game in terms of story is on par with "The Last of Us" which is the best game I have played purely based on story.Been replaying it since it was added to the Xbox1 backwards compatibility list a few days ago...First of all, the game looks even better than it did on the 360...Second, so far I'm enjoying the second play through just as much/even more than I did the first time...
Damn, missed out on this. It was $30 when I looked. Anywhere in particular you get alerts for deals like this?
Do you by chance have a copy of the 360 version? If you do, I think you can just pop the disc into your Xbox One and it'll download for free (all backwards comp games work this way). Even if you don't have a copy, it might be cheaper to see if you can find a used 360 disc online than pay 30 bucks for the download.
There were promos at the home screen for a while. I might have seen it advertised on slickdeals too.Damn, missed out on this. It was $30 when I looked. Anywhere in particular you get alerts for deals like this?
If you bought digital copies of 360 games they're available too. That's how I have access to Fallout New Vegas but not all of my digital 360 content shows up unfortunately.Do you by chance have a copy of the 360 version? Rockstar has posted 2 teasers to their Instagram page, the next game is coming!
I'd probably rank it #1 overall in story but probably wouldn't break my top 50 in gameplay. Overall it's a fantastic game, though. It ranks number 1 for me in terms of both game play and story.
I hope its soon though. Don't tease me something that still a ways off. I think the last time Rockstar announced a game was GTA 5 and then it took 2 years for them to release it.
Gameplay is nothing groundbreaking but you can't deny the fun it is to go hunting or anything else.I'd probably rank it #1 overall in story but probably wouldn't break my top 50 in gameplay. Overall it's a fantastic game, though.
I like the gameplay a fair amount. Its like GTA where the setting pulls you in to the action and at first the combat is a bit jarring because it ends up being more about mastering the camera and utilizing things at the right moment. In both games the combat works because the setting is so compelling and the sandbox is so big that you have the options to do things in more than one way.Gameplay is nothing groundbreaking but you can't deny the fun it is to go hunting or anything else.
Please tell me you didn't ride horses everywhere and you know about campfires.I like the gameplay a fair amount. My main complaint is that RDR has more down time than most 10/10 'almost perfect' games. I can see this being a plus for many people and it was sometimes a plus while I played it but you definitely have to allocate a lot of time to play RDR to make up for the horse riding sequences. Some parallels to Witcher 3 though that game had the benefit of coming out after RDR so its on a more recent gen and looks prettier with a more active world.
Imo, the 4 great sandbox games I've played are GTAV, Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption and GTA San Andreas.
Yeah, I know about campfires though I probably did spend too much time riding horses around and/or randomly hunting animals. Please tell me you didn't ride horses everywhere and you know about campfires.
