Do we need another LB? I thought some of the these DE could move to LB, or was there a TE they were looking at for LB?

I know depth at LB has been an issue that is the only reason I asked, I know a few guys are going to play LB but they could be losing another in Hill if he flips to Texas.

Here is some update: IM is visiting this weekend and word is he is all set to commit to ND. He got his grades and scores up and he is all go to go to ND. ND chances 80%

Lautua is all Irish. He has been talking to the ND staff almost every day.

Ju Ju Smith- He took his visit this weekend to USC and the good news is that he didn't commit. THis is great news for ND. Irish coaches have last shot. Wed is the Big day for ND. ND chances 50%

Quick- Great battle here. Its between us and Oklahoma. He has gone back and forth for the last few months. Again ND's big fay with him is on Thursday. ND chicness 50%


If some how ND lands all 3 it would be a great NSD final. ND class would be stacked with play makers and speed and Big Olinemen . Also don't forget they have a great shot and Sewyers and Alexander. we go 5 for 5 its a Grand slam for the Irish. 4 for 5 its a Home Run, 3 for 5 and its a inside the park home run.

Looks like ND will end on a high note.

If Stanford can swoop in at the last minute and take him then he obviously wasn't a Notre Dame guy just like Mokwuah wasn't committed to Rutgers. At the end of the day if he chooses Stanford than hopefully Notre Dame can beat them every year he is there.

More update: Cooks is going hard at Alexander now and it looks like they have a great shot. Coaches heard they were #3 and Cooks and Kelly visit him last night. Word from last night its between ND and Stanford now. He is leaning towards education. Alexander was impressed that ND came to him right away showing how much they want him.

In surprising news while being in louisville ND also talked to Texas De commit DT Courtney Garnett. He was ready to commit to Oklahoma and now with an offer from ND he is trying to make a last min visit this weekend. Keep an eye on this. Oklahoma is still the leader but if he falls in love with ND on the visit he might just change his mind.

More news on IM: THis is getting crazy but I guess we can trust this because this is from him. He finally came out and said who was in the lead and what order kind of. He said his final 3 are Ole Miss, Florida and ND. 2 schools coming late to the party were Stanford and South Carolina.

From his mouth Ole Miss is the leader. Bad news for ND after see what he said. Not happy with Kelly.

“(For Freeze it) was his first time seeing me so he was talking to me about (how) they are up there,” McKenzie said. “(Coach Kelly) came down and he explained if I don’t make a decision that night I wouldn’t have a scholarship. If (Charles) Nelson and Michiah Quick, if they are getting the same talk then I don’t want (Notre Dame). I know its a business decision and the coach is trying to keep his job as well, but I wanted to take my visits and weigh my options. I guess he didn’t want me with my options.”

Other Notes: He said his dream school is VTech. I thought it was ND I guess not.

After hearing this I have ND with a 10% shot. He doesn't seem like he is too excited about ND.

don't apologize, purguy. until the season starts there ARE no 100% facts and you can only go with what info you can get your hands on at the time. everyone knows there can/will be changes. i haven't been a part of this thread because i have NO knowledge of what's going on in recruiting and don't take the time to get into it. but i sure appreciate all the info you provide on an almost daily basis.

The news on McKenzie stinks but it is the SEC we are dealing with. I can't say I'm surprised though taking visits to explore options is never a good sign.
