Ilya Bryzgalov Dislikes Winnipeg Based on Lack of Parks, 'Real Cold' Weather - NHL - NESN.com

"You don't want to go to Winnipeg, right?" asked Bryzgalov, a soon-to-be free agent. "Not many people live there, not many Russian people there. Plus, it's cold. There's no excitement except the hockey"

He said maybe he'd look at KHL, where it may be cold, but at least he can speak to people in Russian.

after shitting the bed on the game winning goal less than 24 hours ago, you are going to be all picky on team location?
4.36 GAA in these playoffs - 20th out of 21 goalies that have seen any time at all. maybe give it a day or two before eliminating options.

He constantly disappoints in big games, great regular season goalie that gets stage fright when the games really matter.

In addition to the dozens of Coyotes fans, there's one member of the team who doesn't appear pleased with the club's reported move to Winnipeg for the 2011-12 season.

lol at dozens of fans.

Bill Ranford won a Conn Smythe trophy...Steve Penney had a great run as a rookie goalie for the Habs. Halak last year. Hey, this is fun.

I don't blame him. I wouldn't want to live in Winnipeg and I'm from buffalo who has actually visited there. What do they have to offer that's better then Phoenix? Nothing.

But prior to these playoffs, he had a .925 cumulative over 23 playoff games and beat Canada for a World Championship. He's done all right, dash; he just got lit up against the Red Wings. Happens to everybody.

Not only does he beat me down with stats, he had to throw in the Canada for a World Championship as the cherry on top. Maybe you should be Bryz's agent.

He still doesn't pass the eyeball test for me in the post-season. The Wings did exactly what you have to do to beat the Yotes (i.e. score early and get them to open up their defensive style of play).

I am Bryzgalov's agent.

Give me a call when that Fin's contract is up in Calgary, dash; we'll talk numbers.

Ha!

It's true though! Detroit has this funny habit of making people look like shit that no other team seems to be able to do on a consistent basis!

The Ironic thing is that Montreal Detroit game when Roy got lit up eventually led to Roy knocking Detroit out of the playoff's and winning another cup

And in my own little fantasy world, the same thing happened after Game 7 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals when the game had to be called off because of a Boston Garden-esque power failure. :pout:

this sounds like a marketing ploy by bryzgalov. though he could of just been speaking out of frustration right after getting swept out of the playoffs

Refresh my memory, was that playoff shutout streak when he played for the Coyotes, or was it during his tenure with the Ducks while they had one of the meanest defensive corps ever assembled?

Next thing you know people are going to be saying that Osgood's two consecutive SCF shutouts were impressive, not just a result of a shell shocked Pens team... :D

I will grant you that he looked very sharp on the five total shots he saw between those two games. ;)
