If this is for football only, i can't imagine any reason for us to be loyal to Wake. As far as Duke, I would rather be in a football conference with NC State than Duke, i would assume i am not the only one that feels that way.

nice. i was hoping they would. Any news on when they will join for football? I had read that they could stay in div 2 for a bit and start playing d1 football in as late as 2015

yeah they join in 2013, i'm asking if they are going in for football in 2013 as well...all the local writers in hampton roads were saying if they were to join, they would likely join in 2013, but they could keep playing d2 football til 2014 or 2015...i'm busy and dont feel like looking it up myself

A really good thing for the kids in Virginia .. UVA and VT will still get a lot of the BEST talent but this makes their job harder .. I'll definitely be pulling for them in C-USA and think, because of their location, they'll be contending rather quickly

So .. for shits and gigs .. if major football conferences ended up being 4-16 team conferences and assuming that all teams in the major 3 (pac12, b1g, sec) are safe, who would end up being the add-ons:

4 more teams to the pac
4 more teams to the b1g
2 more teams to the sec

who survives? acc or big12? and what teams are added on?
