i'm not sure i see the big deal about a team needing to be 'a family'. when did this start? growing up i don't recall teams feeling the need to be 'a family'. it's NOT a family! it's their freaking job!

My read on it was it was his way of saying the team was dysfunctional last year. I’ve known plenty of teams in my work career that were ineffective because they couldn’t work well with each other.

then i take it you think they SHOULD be like a family? even tho players come and go at the drop of a hat? that if they don't feel all warm and cuddly about their teammates they can't play effectively?
