To start with the rebuttal, judging by the number of times I've heard the phrase 27 (or "26" "25" etc.) I suspect there are several million Yankee fans that disagree with that statement.

Basically the Indians are the Yankees. They play exceptionally well against shit teams, but if they play any kind of quality team they get beat.

A lot of people have forgotten about that because the Indians haven't played a quality team since they got beat 2 out of 3 against the Royals 2 weeks ago, but they'll be reminded Wednesday night.
