Follow me son, I'll teach you something !!
I know you are smart enough to know I wasn't promoting either, but just pointing out that if an NFL player was being cut for the DUI, they would have to be for the cell phone violation too, as 1 is as dangerous as the other...
But with the note that when there was no accident on either, it's horse honkey.....
I can agree somewhat with that. Both are bad decisions and maybe not worth getting cut over. Obviously in our country we do view one as worse than the other by just looking at the penalties put out for both. I do think though that as time goes on the penalties for getting caught using your cell phone will begin to equal out as more data comes out of the dangers.
I'm one I honestly wouldn't mind if a player was cut for either one. When two of the Broncos FO people were arrested for DUI they didn't completely panic in the situation and I thought they handled it well. They didn't fire them right away but they did give them some time away from the job so that they could go seek help. I think this probably would have been the better course of action for the Ravens in making Pierce go seek help with alcohol as it shows the team really does care about the player making this mistake but also shows they are willing to work with the player and the league to make sure this player gets the best help and actually corrects the mistake.
