Cant believe this game wasnt flexed to Sunday night.

Anyway, the key to Derrick Henry has always been gang tackling him.


Fortunately, over the last two games, the commanders d has tended to swarm to the football.

Its gonna be a tough game, to be sure. OTOH, its nice to know that its unlikely that John Harbaugh will out coach DQ and company.

They tried to flex it into primetime but the channel that owned the rights refused to let the game go

Key to the game will be getting Lamar to the ground on first contact. If he escapes, he will kill you just like he did the Bengals.

keeping henry in check is a vital too.

I tend to think the Ravens come out on top, but my money is definitely on the Commanders +6 1/2 and the over. Something like Ravens 30-27 sounds about right to me.

totally agree. Interesting game as both Os are almost mirrors (similarities in dynamic QBs-but have to give Lamar an edge with experience). feels like it'll come down to a shootout with the better D performance making the difference.
Hoping for a clean game with no injuries

I tend to agree Cali, deploy a similar game plan as AZ but as you mention, Lamar is in a class by himself. Lucky for us, we have a QB very similar to him the Ravens must defend.

I see it a bit different. I see Henry as the guy we have to stop. If he is successful running it, he will wear our front 7 out, dominating time of possession If they play pound and ground with Henry, then Lamar could kill us on the play action. Take Henry away (good luck), the Lamar is forced to throw. Not an enviable position, but henry is more of a threat running, imo, then Lamar is passing.

Yep. The Bengals contained Henry for the majority of the game and really should have won it. They couldn't stop Lamar (he kept answering every Bengals TD), but the Ravens did finally make the mistake that should have given the game to the Bengals. They just didn't capitalize.

Mahomes is WAY overhyped. He's VERY good, make no mistake. However, he won last year bc of his defense. This year there are several QBs playing better.
