Everything good OS. This was a great hire. I was really hoping for the Kubiak/Shanahan/Dennison combination with Castillo departing, but I am certainly happy.

Nobody can really deny that is a hell of a trio. I don't see how it couldn't improve the team. I think the question now is how will the players perform? Solve the running game issues has to be the main focus if you ask me. That alone will help Flacco a ton.

Question: Why would some fans of other teams come into a harmless thread about a team's coaching staff and start hurling insults?

Answer: They reside in butthurtville.

You are correct. Fixing the OL is the #1 priority.

I'm pretty sure it ends when there is a new Super Bowl champion. That's how it usually works. I could be mistaken though.

I just think it's weird to call them "defending" champions when they've already been eliminated. I mean, how are they defending it, by watching the Broncos and Seahawks play?

Maybe if you didn't want other fans commenting, don't post it on the main NFL board. :noidea:

I'm pretty sure it ends when you no longer have any opportunity to "defend" it....IE: watching the playoffs from their couches

Semantics? Seems a little nit-picky. You find that funny, but you don't find any humor in a Steelers' fan talking shit?

I would expect the Steelers to trash talk you. They're a rival, and like it or not they did finish ahead of you this season. Plus I think if you're a Ravens fan this season has to be considered a HUGE disappointment.

But yeah, bragging about being defending Super Bowl champs seems really silly to me when it's Super Bowl week and you didn't even make the playoffs. But like I said, that's only good for 4 more days anyway, then you can put that back in the same area as the Steelers 6 Super Bowl wins.

Did the Steelers not rank higher at the end of season than the ravens ?

Both teams finished 8-8. They split their games this year. You really expect me to take anyone seriously when they use the 4th or 5th tiebreaker as justification to brag about having a better season?

Let me ask you something. If the Ravens aren't relevant, why was an 8-8 season a HUGE disappointment? If the Steelers are more relevant than the Ravens, wouldn't their 8-8 season be an even bigger disappointment? That is, of course, why I even brought up the Ravens being defending Super Bowl champs.

BTW...you have serious reading comprehension issues if you took my comments as "bragging". Maybe you simply don't understand the context of my comments because you are actually butting into an exchange that had nothing to do with you or the team you root for.

I don't care who or what you take seriously.

Where did I say the Ravens weren't relevant? Where did I say the Steelers were? I simply think that following up a Super Bowl win with an 8-8 season isn't very good, and if I was a fan of a rival team I'd probably rib you about it, too. So that brings up the question, do you consider an 8-8 season a disappointment, or are you satisfied with it?

BTW...you have serious reading comprehension issues if you took my comments as "bragging". Maybe you simply don't understand the context of my comments because you are actually butting into an exchange that had nothing to do with you or the team you root for.

I understand the context of your comments just fine. But please explain to me what this is if it's not bragging.

The Ravens are defending Super Bowl champs. The Steelers haven't been a winning ballclub since they were Teblowed.

Both Pitt and Balt had a shitty season. The Steelers finished better than expected and Baltimore finish worse than expected. That doesn't mean either has much room to talk about the other. Which team will get back to normal first is going to be the entertainment in the future.

Exactly. Two assclown Steeler fans come into a thread that has nothing to do with the Steelers and start talking shit. I find that hilarious and respond as such, and then here come a couple jackass Bronco fans who take my comments (directed in defense towards someone else) and break them down word for word without understanding context.

Let the butthurt keep on shining.

Commenting = being a jackass and butthurt. Got it.

Hey, Money, I'm really sorry that I find it humorous that someone would claim "defending Super Bowl champions" status when that team's season ended before the playoffs even began. I know in 1999 when Super Bowl week rolled around I wasn't talking about the Broncos being defending champs to help ease the pain of that 6-10 season, but hey, that's just me.

Besides that, I'm still not really sure what I'm supposed to be "butthurt" about. Maybe if you could enlighten me I could address that issue in my life and move on past it. I mean, maybe I'm just crazy but it seems to me the biggest butthurt going on in this thread is from someone who's upset that someone found their comment rather humorous.

You have an odd sense of humor. You can nitpick on the "defending" part, but I'm pretty sure you can understand where I was coming from with that comment (which again was only stated in defense of a Steelers' fan who was talking shit).

If you truly want your life enlightened, I will certainly give you some advice. Don't butt into something that doesn't concern you. You also may want to work on your reading comprehension (specifically understanding context).

I appreciate your input on the topic of this thread. Thanks for stopping by.
