Money makes people lazy. The hungry ones are more productive.
I don't think Fluke-O is lazy, I think he never was all that good outside of one 4 game run.

problem is they still like flacco
They have kept him....Why? The numbers speak for themselves.

Opinion: The Baltimore Ravens Have a Major Joe Flacco Problem
The Baltimore Ravens have a major Joe Flacco problem, even if they don't realize it or want to admit it. Since going on his four-game streak to win the Super Bowl after the 2012 season, and getting a big contract, Flacco has been among the worst regular starters in the NFL, and the Ravens have not won another playoff game.
Here's where he ranks among the 33 quarterbacks who have thrown at least 800 passes in the last five years:
-dead last in yards per attempt;
-dead last in touchdown pass percentage;
-dead last in touchdown to interception ratio;
-32nd in passer rating (ahead of only Blake Bortles);
-dead last in net yards per pass attempt;
-dead last in adjusted net yards per pass attempt.
Does this make Joe Flacco elite?
Last year, he averaged 5.7 yards per pass attempt. Let's put that in some perspective. Ryan Leaf's career yards per attempt was 5.6, and JaMarcus Russell's was 6.0.
Majority of people outside of Maryland knew this was going to happen when he signed the contract. He was never as good as his contract indicated. Sure he had one of the best postseason stretches for any QB ever. I don't blame Baltimore for offering that deal. Flacco was homegrown, still fairly young, and the FO was full of confidence in him. And they absolutely COULD NOT let him walk. Signing him to that deal had to happen... And it forced them to ride it out.
thats a good signThey signed RGIII for 1 year and a million bucks.
he would just add stupidity to this threadOh how I miss @tgann
If they were all on the same exact contract as Flacco, I'm taking each and every one of them in a heartbeat.If they don't want Flacco in 2018 they could bring in another cheap veteran to battle RG3 for the starting job and probably add a developmental rookie. I don't see them dropping Flacco though. I'd still rather have him at $12M than Manning, Tannehill, Dalton, and maybe 1 or 2 more on more expensive contracts.
