Draft posistion has nothing to do with posistion value. If you think it does you're a bigger fool than you've led us to believe.

Now please tell me what is quadruple of 8?

Explain how that possible could be true. Thats absolutely assinine. QB's go #1 all the time, but thats not because they are important. Right. If teams though Centers were valuable they draft them high. That makes absolutely zero sense saying draft position doesnt equate to importance. It has 100% everything to do with their importance.

Never really understood people ranking LT so high given how many of the elite passrushers lineup on the RT. And if the QB is so valuable in part to avoid and manipulate the pocket and rush, doesn't that diminish the value of the OL; and create a sliding scale based on the quality of the QB?

Because when you have a right handed QB they will get murdered from behind if you have a poor LT. Thats why teams value LT over Center.

Meh- that's more cliche than anything. Sense the pressure, manipulate the pocket, avoid the pressure. Joe Theisman successfully managed to overrate the LT to absurd levels. And btw, I have OT over Center.

Nope, just using the last 75 years of the NFL as support for my argument. The fact that Tom Landry, Bill Bellicheck, and all the other great coaches NEVER drafting Centers in the 1st round as proof enough for me.

In 2015 the Browns took Cameron Irving Center with the 19th pick. I just got my 2014 NFL draft guide out and it says about Irving. "A true gem. Will be an All Pro soon. Devastating run blocker with nimble feet to get to the 2nd level. Generational type ability". Pretty high praise right?
