Series Thread: Rangers vs Red Sox 5/9-5/11

Going to the game Saturday so I figured would give this a shot. Now if we lose this series it's all on me

I got good feeling about it though. Maybe last night's game and how well we generally match up with the Sox can get something going.

Keep in mind what the end result was each season. It's not how you start... it's how you finish.

IMO, it's how you start and finish. I've always disagreed to a degree with that saying. If you started better you wouldn't have to finish as well and vice versa. All games count the same. Where I do agree with the statement is that finishing well will allow the momemtum to carry over into the playoffs. We finished well last year, and that didn't turn out well.


You should always go into a game with the importance put on that 1 game. Not with the belief that there's always games to make up for it later in the year.

I knew he would probably put EA back in the 2 hole since we're facing a righty but I don't like it. I guess there's no other righty he can put there though, besides Rios. He's also got 3 lefties in a row.

I think what I am really referencing with how you finish is what you referred to in your post-building momentum as you move into the post season. I mean if it was possible, I would prefer we won all of our games and performed well all the time but that's just not realistic. So for me, if we are going to get hot or go on a serious run, then I would prefer we did that closer to the end of the season. This is of course if we only had one period of a really hot streak. It seems like the past few years, we have started very strong but fizzled at the end. Now, of course you have to stay in contention the rest of the season for all this to work out but that doesn't mean you have to play .600 ball all year.
