For fuck's sake. A 1-1 game where we've got all the momentum and flow and Cooke takes a completely needless major... wtf was he thinking. He'll get suspended and I have no problem with that. He needs to be smarter.

PK looked great for most of that major and the 5 on 3, but when you give a team that many chances, they will score.

So if there is a 5-3 and on penatly is a 5 minute major both penalties are full penalties? If you can score at will on a 5 min major without the player leaving the box shouldnt the 2 minute penalty end with the first goal? I honestly dont know the answer.

Both 5 minute majors are served fully.

To be fair, it did lead to the Pens taking the lead 2-1 until Niskanen took a 4 minute high stick penalty.

If Niskanen doesn't take a high sticking penalty at that time, the Pens win this game IMO.

it would be the Pens' only answer cap wise (assuming that they would be willing to paying him $1.8 mill to be in the AHL.)

He's still got 2 years left after this, Pens can't really afford the buy-out cap hit.
unless they can find a loophole where he breaches his contract or something.
