Nicholas definitely needs to improve his receiving. I would imagine Holaday's job is pretty safe.
I don't see Gimenez as better and don't see it as an issue until Chirinos is ready

Not only should Mazara be playing, I think he should be batting third. Move Beltre to fourth and so on. Mazara would have more chances for RBIs if he was third in the lineup. Prince is in a mega slump.
It is a good problem to have with so many promising players.

Prince needs a spot where there is very little pressure at the moment, Beltre apparently has been watching him too close the last week or so. Not sure I want to move Maz from his current spot however. It should all even out at some point. At least w one hit a day Fielder's avg is going up! HAHA!
Pisses me off Fielder is getting the Michael Young treatment from Banny.
When Choo comes back, I'd put him 2nd in the lineup. That's where he tore it up last year.
Not a bad idea. When Choo comes back, I'd put him 2nd in the lineup. That's where he tore it up last year.

So you want three lefties in a row at the top of the order?
Put Beltre at 3.
As a person thinks this thru we could have us a really good lineup.I agree. Was just asking @MajorCharlesRane if that's what he was saying because that wouldn't make much sense. Who's your cleanup hitter?
Agree but if hitting on all cylinders and I'm referring to Prince. As a person thinks this thru we could have us a really good lineup.
I'm for keeping him at 2. That has been a problem for a long time. Let's not change what is workingWho hits second? One of the nice things about Mazara is his bat control is so solid he really is a great fit in the 2 hole.
I agree, and I also think Maz should stay in right and move Choo to left. I expect we'll have to live with the adventure of Ian in centerI'm for keeping him at 2. That has been a problem for a long time. Let's not change what is working

Well, I guess in a way I'm looking at Beltre as the "cleanup hitter", in the #3 slot. But you're asking me who hits 4th... and I guess I'd say that if Desmond keeps improving, I move him into that spot.
I should point out that I've got Odor 1, Choo 2. Choo is a veteran and I don't see any way he gets bumped for Mazara when he returns. Nor should he.
If Mazara stays on the 25 man after Choo gets back, then I think DDJ becomes primarily a backup. But then you've got the L/R matchups to consider. So Prince might stay at #4 just to keep the lineup from having 3 consecutive lefties as much as possible. It's still going to happen from time to time.
So I'd have Odor/Choo/Beltre/Fielder/Desmond/Moreland/Mazara (or Rua)/Elvis/Catcher.
In a perfect world, you'd have Mazara hitting cleanup (assuming he maintains his pace). But I just don't see that happening right now. If it's late June/July, that's a different story.
