I think Maz going back to AAA would be one of the stupidest things this organization has done. His arm, fielding, being a tough out at the plate to go along with very impressive stats. Yeah, why don't we kick ourselves in the butt so we can make sure DDJ or Rua plays while Maz is raking it at AAA. And I love Rua and most of the time DDJ even though he may be one of the dumbest players around.

I mean, he only got called when he did because Choo got hurt. Surely he won't even need to be told "look kid, you'll be back incredibly soon. Go down there and rake."

God I hope that isn't how this goes.

I don't think Desmond is worse than Deshields neither but I think certain fly balls will still be turned into an adventure...particularly the ball smashed right at him over his head. I expect it...and I could be wrong as most of you seem to think Maz is going down. I just don't see it at the level he's playing. Now should be slump for any extended amount of time? Sure...but I think this kid is that advanced as a player and stays in right field.

Agree PDay and Desmond has a great arm as well. But I do think Maz would go to LF just because Choo is so bad anywhere else except in RF. We saw that last year. I wish we could but Choo in LF.

There is likely another 15 day DL stint that makes some of these conversations moot, in the grand scheme. Josh may go on the 60 Day DL, soon. Injuries happen and they may make up the organizations minds for them, without having to give it any thought? Fielder may be hurt again, DDJ another hamstring, Choo a setback, who knows?

Just keep winning series and hope the SP keeps this up all year

Both can be sent down, but we need a backup CF and Rua provides a RH hitting alternative to Moreland and Prince.
