I haven't started one yet so it's time to start a winning streak. We've got to take care of business in Houston!

We need somebody to get on a roll like Darryl did.

We just need to win a damn series to get back on track. I'd gladly accept 2/3

I would too, with nice starts in all 3. The line-up doesn't appear to be able to score consistently so the starters have got to do a better job. I really do think this team, if healthy, can get on a hell of a roll, but the team we have out there now should be better than they are.

It's hard to get a read on this team. Everyday is a different one.:noidea::gaah:

It really is. Wouldn't it be funny if this was the team to finally fulfill our dreams?

We will take 2 of 3 from Houston, sure. But I wouldn't read anymore into it than that. We don't seem to do well lately when the competition is stiffer.

It wouldn't surprise me if we lost 2 of 3 either. We need Holland and at least 1 of the 2 auto out IF spots to come back.

Been dreaming a very long time. And yes it would be funny if this were the year.

You never know. The team that I consider to be the best in Ranger history, the 2011 crew, started off the season slow like this too but didn't have near the amount of injuries. I can think of a few other similarities off the top of my head In 2011 we added 2 big new bats- Beltre and Nap compared to Choo and Fielder this year. Also, it seems like it took those guys a little while to gel too but once they did, they were pretty tough to stop.

I seem to recall two 1 - 0 games the last time these two teams met. And that was here, I recall. I pray we don't have to go through that again.

The Crawford box should see that doesn't happen.

This from the DMN:

Left-hander Michael Kirkman returned from a three-week stay on the disabled list at Round Rock and allowed four runs in 1 2/3 innings in an emergency start against Memphis of the St. Louis organization. Tepesch was scheduled for the start.

When right-hander Nick Tepesch arrives from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday to go into the rotation, he will become the ninth starter and 22nd pitcher overall. The Rangers lead the majors in both categories.

I swear there's a god damn hex on this team. Since we played the Cardinals in the WS, we've been decimated by injuries every year.

They're saying it's just inflammation with no structural damage. So it just depends on whether you trust them

It's always "just" inflammation until it isn't. If he goes down for an extended period of time or doesn't return to form, IMO we're pretty screwed.

Listening to Hitzges earlier and he & crew were discussing how many guys we've switched from the BP to starters - Wilson, Ogando, Scheppers, Ross, Feliz - and how it just doesn't seem to be what we do best. Have to agree.

Also, who was it squawking for Yu to finish the game the other night so he could have his first complete game? This after he'd thrown 126 pitches. Well, the Rangers have discussed moving him back a day, possibly two, before his next start. This is why you take him out immediately upon losing the no-no.
