Should be an interesting series. They are hot of late but no Archer.

Its weird that there is an American League team we haven't played yet. It's almost September already.

I have absolutely no evidence to back this up, but maybe they saved them for this time of year to give the Rangers a break from the heat.

getting this one in under the wire, DG!

I thought for a moment there, Mr darryl was "Asleep at the Wheel." So-to-speak anyway.

We hit the road just in time because it has been raining most of the afternoon in DFW. At least they do not have to worry about that there.

Feels like an eternity in baseball time. Teams seem to change so much in that time span.
I think we play TB the very last series of the year which seems kind of strange as well.

Houston's GM is not going to be thought highly by other MLB players after this article.

Astros GM Jeff Luhnow wants to set baseball back 50 years

Seems like a sore loser. I can understand his frustration but they were so bad for a few years that it'll take some time repairing that image. There was a time great players probably didn't want to come to Arlington to play but slowly but surely that perception has completely changed even with our god awful shitty summers.

Just imagine how popular the team would be with free agents if some dumb asses didn't build globe life park outside in the brutal heat.

And the thing is he is alienating himself with any players who would want to come there because he wants them to have zero rights. Back to the days before Curt Flood when players were at the mercy of the owners. Not too smart of him to say what he did.

Those "dumb-asses" used all the money they had.

Granted, it was a mistake not to have done so. But then again, when you're out of money you don't buy the BMW, you get a Hyundai.

They could have invoked the city of Arlington for help with funding. That is how they were able to build the Death Star and pay for the new ball park coming up as well.

That's how they got the original ballpark,

Not to mention dome tech wasn't where it was in the years after the ballpark was built, it wasn't efficient or cost effective at that time
