Hoping Cleveland and Boston won’t provide much resistance. Both teams have to know their chances of making the playoffs are minimal. Hoping Angels shut down Ohtani for the rest of the year soon.

if we continue to play well against Seattle, we should be fine tho.

Houston and Seattle off today. So a Texas win would gain a half game on both in the race

He has done very well in the 3 hole. He's good for the most part at laying off of bad pitches.

From Jeff Wilson:

The Rangers dispatched Jung to Arizona on Wednesday so that he can have an exam with the surgeon who operated on his broken left thumb last month. However, Jung won’t be coming off the injured list this weekend.

He’s going to slide over to the Surprise Recreation Campus to get in some baseball activity rather than just taking the plunge back into major-league competition. The Rangers are holding fall instructs, so there will be some pitchers there who could throw Jung live batting practice and plenty of coaches who can help him get his swing dialed in as much as possible.

As much as Jung is needed in the lineup, a few days of tuning things up will serve him and the Rangers well. He is ahead of schedule, and the Rangers’ fortunes have changed in the matter of a few days.

This is the right move.

Wyatt Langford leads off today's edition of Baseball America's Prospect Report.

Wyatt Langford, OF, Rangers: Langford’s outstanding pro debut just keeps getting better. Langford went 2-for-3 on Wednesday with a pair of home runs as he reached base four times. Langford’s advanced plate skills, plus power and potential to join the Rangers lineup as early as next spring makes him a potential top five prospect heading into the offseason.

Problem is those teams will playing for pride and looking to hurt teams who have a better chance of making the playoffs

Does anyone have any information on how many pitches Eovaldi is scheduled for in tonight’s game? I know he was on a 50 pitch cap last game.

I have not read where the Rangers have specifically stated how many. Just based on what has usually been done, I would think an increase of 10 to 20 would be about right. I would guess 65 pitches. Maybe 70.

Sounds about right. Although if he reaches 60 and things are going well they might let him go beyond 70

Walcott is #1. I am assuming Vargas is #12.

Thank you Detroit
If they had taken him and we had taken Walker Jenkins instead, I think we would be overjoyed with Jenkins right now. He just wouldn't be as close to the big leagues.

Hopefully, we wouldn't have chosen Clark over Jenkins. Lol

If the Rangers decide to put Bradford in Scherzer's spot and Bradford proves to be a good starting pitcher, then something great can come out of a bad situation. The Rangers have to make that decision first though.
