Here is another excerpt from the above article by Jeff Wilson.

"“We have not factored that into any of our decision-making,” general manager Chris Young said. “We need to see him progress through the end of his, what we consider, rehab. Get his legs underneath him. He’s fresh right now, but there’s going to be a point where he’s going to have to play six, seven days in a row. Those are things that are the next steps for him.”'

I know CY has to say this. I also know that we have had prospects come up this year and not play 6 or 7 days in a row on a regular basis. I also know none of our local media would bring this up to him. It is humorous.

Beasley needs to go too. He has Miller back at DH, while Mathias is swinging a hot bat.

I think that thinking is systemic throughout baseball. I would like a manager who isn't afraid to think outside of the box.

If folks are afraid that other veterans will be upset, then make sure you have a young bench. If they feel forced to play older players then don't have older players until the young guys have become established.

Even Wash didn't play Vizquel over Elvis.

I don't understand why Huff hasn't been the everyday DH for several weeks now.

Smith and Duran could both play every day if a veteran didn't have to occupy the DH spot.

I’m waiting too see what they do with Calhoun when he comes back. He should be DFA’d.

Will be a good test for CY as to what to do with the vets. Can't see what part they have in serving the team now. The remainder of this season should be spent on the prospects/rookies.

I think they will make a splash at manager
Someone who looks like they are going places
All unless Beas goes on a run and gets more out of the guys than expected

from MLBTR: Josh Jung, TEX (24): Last week, we noted Jung’s successful return to Triple-A. Since then, he’s gone 10-for-20 with four home runs, three doubles, two walks, and a strikeout. A promotion should come any day now.

hopefully this weekend
