What roster move do you make? Also, Gallo probably isn't much of an upgrade defensively.

I guess we could send down one of the catchers.

As far as Gallo at over Profar, I think Profar will be fine given some time. Granted, he looks a little lost right now, and why shouldn't he?

I'd just as soon leave Gallo where he is, playing everyday, not over-matched, gaining experience at more than one position.

DEREK HOLLAND, RANGERS, LHP
25th round, 2006 | Age: 29 | bWAR: 10.0
The Rangers’ best homegrown players were all signed as amateur free agents out of Latin America—Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor and Martin Perez from Venezuela, Nomar Mazara from the Dominican Republic and Jurickson Profar from Curaçao. As a result, Holland’s primary competition for this distinction is Mitch Moreland, who is a year older, has compiled just 4.1 bWAR in his career and is due to leave as a free agent this winter. Holland was a draft-and-follow pick, a since abolished rule under which teams could draft a player, then watch them pitch a season in junior college before deciding whether or not to sign them. Holland signed with Texas on May 20, 2007.

Looks to be best draft pick (not best player) by each organization based on the wording of the article (also Andrus was not homegrown)

Problem with the catchers, is that I know Chirinos and Wilson would have to be DFA'd, not sure on Holyday, but based on the fact that he hasn't been sent down, I'm also assuming a DFA

I guess they aren't counting Lewis as a Ranger's draft pick? or is it because he left the team and then came back?

Confirmed, all 3 are out of options and would have to be DFA'd if you wanted to send them down, possible but risky if the team is serious about keeping all 3 in the organization

Did anyone notice the crowd last night? Lack of crowd actually. They announced 13,400+ and when I tuned in (A's at bat in the 4th) there could not have been 1,500 people there.

Rua can play some 3rd base too. Mazara in lineup tonight. Maybe a day off for someone else. Profar has a learning curve. Rather figure 3rd out in minors but that is not necessary. I think he can get PT without playing 3B every day. At least split it up and platoon with Rua. My 2 cents

Why move Rua out of the OF? He's probably going to struggle just as much as Profar has at 3B considering he's played a grand total of 3 innings there this season (72 last season in AAA), seems like moving guys around just to move guys around, let them get somewhere and stay there as much as possible

Profar's learning curve for 3B is now, while Beltre is on shelf, it's not ideal but thats the move, just like his learning curve for 2B came while Roogie was suspended

Dyson and bush are solid. Though, Dyson needs to use that change up more sparingly.
Agree. I am not understanding why his main weapon is not being used the majority of the time. I think they outsmart themselves at times.

From what I understand Frisco is on TV right now(FSSW) if anyone can watch it. A J Griffin is pitching and through two innings so far he has allowed one hit and one walk with three strikeouts.

Are you talking about Dyson? He's on pace for 75 outings this year. Way, way too many.
