That really is the key with verlander. You just can't expect to run the score up on him, but if you can scratch three or so runs and work him every inning you can be successful.

Kins AB was pathetic. stood there and looked at two really slow hooks that went right across the center of the plate, then chose to swing at a pitch that could yield nothing but the slow rolling grounder that he got.
