Something says we won't be sellers if we keep playing like this. Still early but can't see JD trading a pitcher like Minor unless we completely fall off the wagon. Winning without Gallo too.

Enjoy this season. It’s going better than we all expected. This is the funnest ranger team to watch in almost 10 years.

The young core will get tons of experience, as rosters expand we will get a look at some of the young arms. If we trade everyone, the team will be awful next year and probably lose 100+ games. The owners don’t want that. They want to put butts in the seats. Attendance will be terrible if the team is terrible.

Don’t act like it’s a wasted year if we don’t have a fire sale because it won’t be.

Red Sox, Cleveland and/or A's are bound to get hot/healthy and make this a non-race, so enjoy it while it lasts but temper expectations

Things would get interesting if they could do something about smyly and get a starter with a pulse in there. Smyly decimates our bullpen every 5th day and ensures that the team won’t ever go on a lengthy winning streak.

We have won 7 out of the last 10 and 2 of the losses were smyly starts. If we had even a decent starter, both of those games probably would have been wins because we put up a bunch of runs both times.

I think they just let Palumbo start with Springs a couple times and reassess. Maybe Hernandez will be ready. Definitely hurt by injuries to Hearn and Burke although not sure of his exact status

Jon Morosi says the rangers are preparing trade deadline scenarios. Either the team will be looking to sell or possibly buy. If the rangers buy, it will almost certainly be controllable starters.

I like the last 2 words of that. If we could acquire a decent to good starter who we would have for several years after this one it wouldn’t be too bad. We just need to stay away from the rentals and not gut the farm.

That's the same mentality that created the need for trades of Tanner Roark to the Nationals for Christian Guzman and Kyle Hendricks/Christian Villanueva for Ryan Dempster (since you like to bemoan that trade so much)

What do we have to trade that we can afford to lose or that any team needs or wants except prospects and they're off limits IMO.
