I believe it would be to Ranger benefit to find another source to handle catching load. Garver is to injury prone.

So, Leiter only allowed 1 hit and 1 run in 4 innings last night. But...he walked 7 and hit a batter.

Over his last 4 starts he has struck out 29 and walked 12.

He has made a lot of progress since last year and he probably still has at least another year and a half to develop.

If he is strictly a backup catcher I think he will only play about twice a week. Hopefully, he can handle that.
