Series Thread: Rangers @ M’s July 25-27

Got handled by the Astros riding a 14 game win streak. Now Rangers for 3 before a VERY tough stretch against the Astros again for 4 and Yankees for 3.

Could lose control of the situation again fast if they don’t at least take 2 of 3 from Rangers.

Flexen tonight, Kirby tomorrow, and one can only guess how Gonzales follows up his embarrassment against Houston.

Just sucks that all three starters decided to QUIT early on when up against Houston, so I'm not looking forward to this series...or the road trip after that.

He's a career .207 hitter on 740 AB.

FFS put in anyone else. Even from AA if needed.

Thankfully Texas is awful. Road trip will be the toughest 7 game stretch of the season.

He's a career .207 hitter on 740 AB.

Odds that Kelenic is still on the M's this time next week? There has to be a trade in the works yeah? Why else would they not have brought him up this week? They can't be worried about burning his options, but they very well could be worried about him playing poorly right before a trade. Leave him in Tacoma where he's doing well and still has stock.

I hate Goldsmith, but I didn't like the questions they were throwing at Cole Young. Asking if he's following the playoffs? Seriously? He's 18 years old and has been preparing for the draft, working out for teams, negotiating a contract through his agent, figuring out a new city, dealing with everyone reaching out to him, if you think that kid has had a second to even look at the standings, that's a stupid question.

Maybe, hard to say with Dipoto. He really hasn't made any kind of splash to date in regards to trading highly rated prospects in the farm system. I believe that Kelenic's upside is still high enough that if he does trade him they need to get someone in return that will be here for awhile and not a rental.
