Pretty small sample size to be declaring our rotation one of the best in the majors. Especially considering Perez's peripherals are awfully shaky.
I thought we would have a very good rotation before the season started though. I am not just going on what they have done so far.

Statistically (and comparatively) speaking, the numbers are pretty damn outstanding right now.

Great pitching by both Velasquez and Eickhoff but the Padres have been shut out at least 5 times this year that I know of. We would all be having fits on this board if that was the Rangers offense.
Yeah, that was the 5th time they had been shut out. In the other 4 shutouts they averaged getting struck out just over 9 times while getting struck out 16 times against Velasquez. The kid also pitched 6 shut out innings against the Mets in his first outing while striking out 9.

The more trades the Astros make like that one the better off we are.

In-fucking-credible.

Guess the plan is to sit his ass on the bench until he freezes right on up? Another day or 2 and he's somewhere between a sno-cone and fucking bomb pop, all the while we have the glacier in Desmond in the lineup every day:bullshit::mad2:

Who's making decisions in that FO?

I don't think anyone is pitching over their head or getting lucky expect maybe Griffin in his first game and he is not long for the rotation. So I don't see us dropping much anytime soon. I actually think Perez can and will pitch a good bit better than he has done so far.

I say again, "honestly, there's something array here and it's just not right!"

It damn near seems personal, and I'm waiting for someone in the media to at least ask the dreaded "how come" question.

Oh, I agree, but Perez has got to cut down on the walks and get a couple more strike outs.

Prince has to get it going soon, stop swinging at everything and for the fence every time. Ill take the RBI at this point but damn he's gotta have more quality AB's

Prince has been awful. I'm getting tired of it.

They don't ask "how come" questions with the Rangers usually.

Well don't get your hopes up that Banister would even consider giving him a day + off and give Rua a chance.

Yep.

I like Banister. Really do. But this lack of Rua being in the lineup is way on the other side of puzzling to me.
I with you all the way on this. I like Banister as well but I am not getting this at all. And Rua is 4 years younger and under control for a longer period of time. I mean if Rua ends up outplaying Desmond then good for us.

And so is Desmond. But he did run around the bases really fast. What a joke. And isn't Nicholas a LHer?

Yeah I forgot the sarcasm font with that statement about Worley

I wish I'd said this..........Absolutely perfect, totally accurate.

Don't think either one of us is advocating putting Desmond in a capsule and "shooting him to the sun." But Desmond truly looks like a guy, even if he and Banister haven't recognized it just yet, in need of a break.

And equally, Rua is the other side of the coin. So what gives here?
