Thinking Danny may have been spooked by high strike out or zone prior AB

This umpire really hurt Santana tonight.

3rd At bat he called him out on a strike that was clearly a ball.

4th at bat..... most umpires would’ve called the 2-0 pitch a ball.

Please no Leclerc

He’s already blown the last big road game we were in against the A’s.

Leclerc got by the skin of his teeth.

Took a great play by forsythe/ odor.

The first hitter still played him like a fiddle by letting those terrible outside pitches go by and gearing up for the 3-1 fastball in the middle.

I saw way too many pitches that even the most aggressive team in the league wouldn’t swing at.

A win is a win tho. Felt like it was lucky as hell, but I’ll take it.

There wouldn’t have been any chalk cause that was the part of the field where the line is painted on, until you get down into the corner. When they showed the replay without slowing it way down it was clearly foul. When they slowed it down into the super slow-mo then it gets hazy and the ball and the line both get bigger looking on the screen so it gives the appearance that it was too close to overturn but it was clearly a foul ball. Can’t believe they still screw up calls when they have the chance to review them.

I could care less if a guy like Minor is considered weak because he is mouthy re not wanting to be traded. Perhaps he just likes it here and expressed himself. If someone is not the strong silent type he is judged often harshly

A shutout against a playoff team speaks volumes
It is the whining when compared to other players in the exact same circumstances which speaks volumes.

Mike minor has been amazing. Where was this guy hiding for the last month or so?

Offense has been disappointing. It’s not like we’re facing mike minor or Corey Kluber out there.
He was hiding inside his stressed self. He caved under that kind of stress.

I had this thought back at the trade deadline. Some will complain when a guy wants to leave and we say good riddance then complain because a guy actually want to stay.

At the surface, the way Minor behaved looks bad and it’s easy to get upset at him.

When you think about it tho, Mike minor is a pitcher, who actually has talent, and he wants to be a Texas Ranger. The fans should love him for that.

It seems like hardly any pitchers have wanted to be Texas Rangers the last 20 years or so.
