We will have to wait and see. Seems Woody sees what needs to be done but has been reluctant to take the first step. Hope it comes quick.

Players play to win no matter nucleus on the team. Managers play to win as a whole or they lose the team. But there are times to rest as well as to evaluate and be patient in a developmental year which no one especially players or managers will admit.

So this year has no consequence except to develop and assess talent for the coming years.

I doubt if a GM can make a regular practice of asking to cut bait on bad contracts. Like what Os are likely considering re Chris Davis.

So I doubt if decisions are made this year and maybe not in offseason re Odor although it might be for Mazara. Going into ST if they want to try to contend if even for a WC spot, 2B needs to be an open audition.

What things spoken about behind the scenes between MGR-GM-Owners are hard to ascertain

I also remember when JD told Wash to drop Kinsler in the batting order. Wash let us know it wasn't his idea.

Other teams do like the Angels. Perhaps the owners don’t approve or give latitude. Sure have not spent much lately.

So we really don’t know what is totally going on behind the scenes but it does not look like JD has much wiggle room financially.

The thought is to add 2 teams one being in Montreal and did the realignment. Not sure where we are at currently with this.

Not sure what year it was, but Wash kept him there way past when he should have dropped him down. When asked about it he said it wasn't his idea and he wasn't too happy about it.
