Series Thread: Rangers Host the White Sox For Three Games June 13-15

The Rangers come hime to face the lowly White Sox and they do so having some recent offensive success. The hitting in the Twins series was impressive. They face a couple of pitchers in this series who have very good ERAs. Let's see if the offense can keep it up.

Unfortunately, the Rangers seem bent on continuing with these bullpen games. Eventually, those will take a toll on our bullpen. I wonder if they are considering DFAing someone and bringing up Dunning. Over his last three starts Dunning has done well:

3 walks
18 strikeouts
0 earned runs

His outing before those three wasn't bad either. This is, by far, the best stretch he has had this season.

It might be 3 or 4 weeks before Eovaldi gets back. Are you okay with having a bullpen game every 5th game for that long?

Of course not. Would like to see Dunning as stated earlier and possibly Rocker.

I’ll say it again (and again, and again): When Evan Carter is cooking, the Rangers cook.

It’s so good to have a center fielder who can regularly deliver impact on both sides of the ball.

Dane Dunning has a locker but is not active at this moment. Rangers would have to create a 40 man spot for him. I could see potentially moving Pederson to 60 as “easy” move. Pederson still 2 weeks away from getting a follow up scan on wrist. I’d think he’s at least another month away

Jon Gray threw off a mound Thursday for the first time since breaking his wrist. 20 fastballs. Will repeat Sunday. Looking like a late July return.

As long as Adolis is seen as a "defensive" OFer and stays at the bottom of the order, this works for me

Hope they keep Semien in the 4th spot in the batting order. He has been doing well there.

Bradford (elbow) and Sborz (shoulder) are scheduled to throw live batting practice Saturday at Globe Life Field. Their next step could be a rehab assignment, with early-July returns possible for both.

Rocker can pitch Sunday he last pitched on the 10th, 4 innings and 1 run...

They have talked like they want Rocker to have a extended stay in the minors, this time around. It might be closer to the break before he comes back up, unless injuries force the issue.
