So will the Rangers try going after someone who can hit LHed pitching since getting back Grossman hasn't seemed to help? Garver being gone has created a big hole in the lineup against LHers. If they don't right the offensive ship soon making the playoffs is going to be tough...

Here are the stats for MLB players hitting against LHed pitching. Most of them are not likely to be available but there are 3-4 that could possibly be had and not be too expensive to acquire...

Foscue went 1 for 4 with a walk in his first game back.

From Rangers Player Development:

7 scoreless innings with 4 Ks for Ryan Lobus last night in the @HickoryCrawdads 4-0 win.

Lobus now has a 1.99 ERA across 4 starts (22.2 IP) since being promoted to High-A Hickory.

From Scott Lucas:

Ugly 1st inning for Jack Leiter at OKC. 6 hits, 4 runs, WP, 2 SO. Maybe some bad luck as Davis Wendzel (playing 1B for 1st time since college) couldn't snare a liner, after which 4 more reached, but the results are what they area. 35 pitches, honestly surprised he wasn't pulled.

After an error in the third inning, Leiter loses it again, after retiring 5 in a row. He proceeded to walk three after a caught stealing and then got out of the inning without giving up any runs. He needs to learn to pick his teammates up after an error, keep the concentration, and keep his cool.

Chapman hit 104 mph yesterday. Still gave up a run.

Cueto was shelled tonight. Didn't get out of the 2nd inning.

Heim is more than adequate. The problem is that when the 7 core guys aren’t running on all cylinders hitting as a unit then Heim and Taveras get put under a microscope.

Trading a young prospect for Grossman is reprehensible.

Get somebody like Mason Miller in the back end of the bullpen and with all the injured guys coming back the middle relief gets even better.

A lot of baseball left to play. Hang in there.
would cost but Carson Kelly is a free agent this offseason and i'd like to see them add him. and then carry Heim, Huff and Kelly on the active roster next season.

Starting pitching looks good next season with deGrom, Eovaldi (only needs 1 inning for his vested $17M 2025 salary to kick in), Mahle. Bradford, Gray and Dunning plus 2 or 3 MiL pitchers.

Bullpen however needs a lot of work
