Same here. I thought this team was going to be better with Langford and Carter the whole year.
Wyatt certainly looks like an emerging star, but unfortunately the injury to Carter has been a factor.
I love the team but at times it looks like they are lethargic.
Semian and Garcia have really stymied the offense. Heim, Tavares and Lowe to a lesser extent..

Carter and Jung are two mainstay players that may not perform like they did due to the type of injury incurred. Time will tell. deGrom is an example how long it can take to regain full strength. We hope they will but we have to wait and see. I know that Semien and Garcia have not been the same since their collision. Lowe received good news concerning the health of his mother. Could be why he has suddenly picked up the pace.

I saw a stat earlier that listed, in order of velocity, the pitcher who had thrown the fastest pitch this year for each team. The Rangera came in dead last with Urena.

The temperature at first pitch Friday night in Glendale, Ariz., was 115.

Kumar Rocker then went out and nearly posted triple digits of his own in his first start since Tommy John surgery.

The Rangers’ first-round draft choice in 2022 reached 99 mph with his fastball, general manager Chris Young said, and dominated for the Arizona Complex League Rangers after allowing a leadoff homer on his second pitch.

“The reports were really good,” Young said. “The velo was up to 99, and he sat 98. It’s very exciting. A big step for him.”

Rocker allowed one other hit and stuck out three in two innings. He needed only 15 pitches to record six outs as his breaking balls were also on point.

Young said that the Rangers will weigh how far they want to stretch out Rocker before sending him to a full-season affiliate. The first objective is to have him throw three innings multiple times before the ACL season ends late this month.

“I think he’s capable of building up to five innings,” Young said. “But we have to decide what the best thing is for Kumar.”
