We need an interim CF for a couple of years until the guys in the lower levels are ready. I posted a list of free agent CF a couple of weeks back. One guy who loves it here is available, Carlos Gomez. Sign him to a 2 year deal and wait for JPM or Bubba Thompson to get ready.

Brinson had a very rough year. I wonder if he can be had.

Otherwise I am happy with a young talented Minor league ready for a chance even if his ceiling is a back up.

We do need a RHB

Glad you brought this up. Much time discussing pitching and little regarding position players. Decisions need to be made concerning LF CF 3B and C. Well assume Beltre is not here or not starting at 3rd in 2019,who is? If Gallo is in LF, do we trade Calhoun? And who is our future CF? Questions that need addressing. What do you guys think. I have not seen anyone in our minor teams that is ready to take over CF lmo. Several names for 3rd are IKF Profar or Gallo but which? Just a couple of thoughts going forward. Jump in.

1. Catcher Keep Robbie. Not too expensive and IKF to me is a utility player although a frequent starter
2. 3rd B. Profar has brought his OPS over 800 and works pitchers. I think he has good reaction for 3B

3. LF/CF. this is where tough decisions are made. We need RHB and need to be overall more athletic in the OF. Not sure the plan for Gallo. We are too left handed so someone could get moved with Gallo's arm he projects well in RF

4 DH Choo still blocking Calhoun. Maybe injuries open up spots


Back to CF. maybe a lot of shuffling next year if we don't pick up a solid guy. Points they direction as they have Gallo out there every once in a while. Have to look under more rocks methinks. Anything out there internationally?
