It was a first for me. Ha haWhat the hell was that!
In his defense. I think those guys overachieved the years they made the playoffs. Sometimes those type of teams simply don't do nearly as well in the postseason.Ok
I just heard the news. Am I the only one excited that Banny is gone?
Things I didn’t like about Banister :
The “never ever quit guys” commercials were extremely corny and lame.
He got totally destroyed in the playoffs. Playoffs are the games that really matter.
He put out way too many “white flag” line ups on Sunday games when we were actually competing for division titles. I refer to games where you rest your top 3 or 4 hitters all at once as games you’re not really trying to win.
Thought he was terrible at managing a bullpen
Wasn’t impressed with his lineups either
Didn’t really like brocail, but I’ve come around on iapoce somewhat.

Wonder if Rangers have a late season surge like when Bogar took over. More at stake draft wise back then but still if players need further auditions, please let them play
I get putting out a good lineup against teams still with playoff hopes but against those eliminated integrity is not a factor.
Play for the future
There's one week left in the season. Nowhere near enough time to audition players.
Glad you brought this up. Much time discussing pitching and little regarding position players. Decisions need to be made concerning LF CF 3B and C. Well assume Beltre is not here or not starting at 3rd in 2019,who is? If Gallo is in LF, do we trade Calhoun? And who is our future CF? Questions that need addressing. What do you guys think. I have not seen anyone in our minor teams that is ready to take over CF lmo. Several names for 3rd are IKF Profar or Gallo but which? Just a couple of thoughts going forward. Jump in.Baby steps. You got guys you brought up. Let them play. Calhoun needs to play daily. Auditions can extend into next year.
I agree. Even though there is only a week left you will learn more about them now than in ST next year.Baby steps. You got guys you brought up. Let them play. Calhoun needs to play daily. Auditions can extend into next year.
We need an interim CF for a couple of years until the guys in the lower levels are ready. I posted a list of free agent CF a couple of weeks back. One guy who loves it here is available, Carlos Gomez. Sign him to a 2 year deal and wait for JPM or Bubba Thompson to get ready.Glad you brought this up. To me it is more about my lack of appreciation about what we can tell in ST when they are hitting off of AA pitchers and MLB pitchers who are working on things. Comparitively speaking I think we can tell more now than then.Guess I'm an outlier, because that doesn't make sense to me at all.
