Luis Curvelo had an excellent year last year in AA. He had a 2.57 ERA and a WHIP of 0.85. This season so far his ERA is the same as last year, 2.57. His WHIP is higher, 1.14, but he is also pitching in some very hitter-friendly parks in the PCL. In his last 5 innings he has pitches 4.2 innings and has given up 0 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6.

But regardless need high leverage guys better than Jackson and Webb and not going to count Hoby.

It isn't money that has kept the Rangers from going after better relief pitchers the last few years. It is how they prioritize positions. For some inexplicable reason the team wanted Pederson more than a closer. They will go after things other than a reliever in this coming offseason, as well.

I am thinking they dumped his money in order to be able to add money. I guess that is because that is what I have expected them to do since last offseason began.

And, Robertson is getting cheaper every day.

CY will make a trade I think.
I hope it is a better trade than the Chapman trade year before last.
Although we probably don’t have the championship without him.

That keeps the streak alive of either Jamey Moyer or Rich Hill being employed by a MLB team since Moyer was drafted in 1984.

I agree with TR. After the Ned Yost/ Jim Sundberg debacle, Bobby came in and energized the fan base. That debacle by Yost and company was the biggest one until Nico traded Luka
