That's too bad. Nolan has been a big part of the culture change to an emphasis on pitching with this club.

The main person I have been hearing behind the "this move is because JD and Nolan don't get along" is Randy Galloway.

Everyone here remembers the LarryLegend fiasco a few years ago when Galloway, and LL, were so adamant that Nolans first move as President would be to fire JD since he didn't know what he was doing. We all found out how full of crap Galloways sources were, as well as LL's.

I'll take this as a grain of salt until Nolan is actually no longer with the team.

One thing that's always bothered me is how much credit people give Nolan. It's JD who did all the heavy lifting and yet the Randy G. types want to say it's all Nolan. If I had to chose who to keep I keep JD. The Rangers aren't forcing Nolan out as he's just the CEO now. I believe they're trying to keep our people within the organization from leaving my promoting them. It's what we need to do so I'm glad they made the moves. I love Nolan but I love winning more. I hope Nolan stays but if he leaves it will be his choice not somebody forcing him out.

That is exactly what is happening. We almost lost Thad two years ago, and don't want to lose him. So if they make JD the Pres, then they can promote Thad to GM.

Frankly it's also a statement about what the FO attributes its recent success to and it's not just having Nolan as president/CEO. While he's been a big part of the culture change in this organization, the guys like JD and Levine are the guys pulling the strings and the organization recognizes the importance of keeping those people.
